Destination Myoko Kogen

Myoko Kogen Japan is only 2.5 hours from Tokyo. Come and enjoy the four seasons with skiing, onsen, hiking, great food, beautiful culture and gorgeous natural beauty!

Myoko Ski Resort

Myoko Ski Resort offers a number of unique skiing opportunities that lie across the Myoko Kogen mountain range and surrounding areas. There is no one Myoko Ski Resort with a single access ticket. Rather it is a series of individual resorts located around the region. The Myoko Kogen Ski Resorts are the most popular with foreign visitors, but there are other great off the radar options scattered throughout the area

Lake Nojiri

Located in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, Japan, Lake Nojiri (Nojiriko – 野尻湖) is a picturesque destination that boasts stunning natural beauty and a rich cultural history. This pristine lake is surrounded by verdant forests, rolling hills, and quaint villages, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Destination Madarao Kogen

The Madarao Ski Resorts are a paradise for winter sports lovers with a great range of Madarao accommodation options. There are endless ways to enjoy skiing here, from long, scenic, tree-lined slopes to challenging bump runs—and especially deep, deep powder.

Nagano: Explore the Heart of Japan

Nagano Japan is one of the fastest growing and hottest destinations for inbound tourists to Japan. Nagano has relatively fewer attractions than some of the more famous Japanese tourist meccas; however, the city’s location amongst the Japan Alps helps provide a unique variety of sites with historical, cultural, and natural characteristics that is hard to match elsewhere in the country. Come visit Nagano – you will not be disappointed!

Japan Snow Monkeys

Japan’s Snow Monkey Park, officially known as Jigokudani Yaen-Koen, is a unique destination in Nagano Prefecture where wild Japanese macaques, commonly called snow monkeys, bathe in natural hot springs. Established in 1964, the park became famous for its rare sight of monkeys soaking in the warm waters, especially during the harsh winter months.

Togakushi Village

Just one hour from Nagano City, Togakushi is famous for its natural beauty, deep history and spiritual significance. With a shrine in a sacred forest, a long fascinating history, soba noodles famous throughout Japan, and the call of ninja intrigue, the village is yet another of Nagano’s “unknown” destinations.

Destination Joetsu Myoko

Wanting to Discover the Unknown Japan? The Joetsu-Myoko region is located in southern Niigata prefecture, bordering Nagano prefecture to the east. Lying 300 kilometres northwest from Tokyo, Niigata Prefectures face the Japan Sea. Visitors can travel in less than two hours from Tokyo on the new Hokuriku Shinkansen (bullet train) to our station, JoetsuMyoko. Here you can find the best that Japan has to offer – food, skiing, culture, mountains and sea.
